In a recent development, Mumbai Police have arrested a 20-year-old man, Mohammad Tayyab (alias Gurfan Khan), from Noida in connection with a threatening call made to Bollywood actor Salman Khan and MLA Zeeshan Siddique, the son of late NCP leader Baba Siddique. The call, which demanded ransom and included threats against both individuals, was received at Siddique’s public relations office in Bandra East.

The threat prompted an employee to file a complaint, leading to a case being registered at Nirmal Nagar police station. Police detained Tayyab, a resident of Delhi, and obtained a transit remand to bring him to Mumbai for further investigation.

This incident follows the tragic shooting of Baba Siddique, reportedly carried out by members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Just days before this arrest, a whatsApp message was sent to Mumbai’s traffic police control room from someone claiming to be affiliated with the Bishnoi gang, demanding ₹5 crore from Salman Khan.

The message threatened that if Khan did not comply, he would suffer a similar fate as Siddique. After the investigation began, the sender later claimed the message was sent by mistake and meant no real harm. However, police swiftly tracked down the sender in Jharkhand, leading to the arrest of a vegetable seller identified as Shaikh Hussain Shaikh Mausin from Jamshedpur.

Salman Khan has been facing ongoing threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, prompting an increase in his security measures as he continues with his professional commitments.
