The film, which marks the 25th in the career of Raghava Lawrence, will be titled Kaala Bhairava, announced the team of the film on his birthday. Directed by Ramesh Varma, who had delivered hits like Rakshasudu and Khiladi, the film Kaala Bhairava is going to be an action-adventure with a superhero flavour for a pan-Indian audience.
In the first look poster, Lawrence appears fierce against a backdrop featuring very heavy religious iconography and which includes a snake along with an idol of a god called Kaala Bhairava, suggesting action infused with mythology.

This will be the third collaboration between Satyanaratana and director Varma, as it is the result of a collaboration from Koneru Satyanaratana’s A Studios LLP with Neeladri Productions and Hawwish Productions. It is scheduled for shooting to begin in November 2024 and is proposed to be released in the summer of 2025, and will be shot simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu, thereby reaching a wide audience all over India.
Lawrence has a hectic schedule, because he is also working in Adhigaaram, a film by RS Durai Senthilkumar with a script by the celebrated writer Vetrimaaran, produced by S. Kathiresan. He is working in Benz directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan, produced by Lokesh Kanagaraj, so there are quite a few more projects which people are all waiting for, each one a little different from the others.
