Rana Naidu season 2 is now in production, and fans are eagerly anticipating the return of the popular Netflix series. The streaming platform recently shared a behind-the-scenes video featuring lead actors Rana Daggubati and Venkatesh, along with a new addition to the cast, Arjun Rampal.
In the video, viewers catch glimpses of intense scenes, such as Rana wielding a gun and Venkatesh riding an ATV. The clip then introduces Arjun Rampal, seen taking a shot with a shotgun, adding to the anticipation of his role in the new season. Netflix announced the filming progress on its official X (formerly Twitter) page, stating, “Rana Naidu Season 2 is now filming #RanaNaiduOnNetflix.”
Fans expressed their excitement about Rampal joining the cast, with comments like, “Arjun Rampal man now you’ll see the madness,” and “Arjun Rampal as the villain in season 2 is going to be epic. His role as Bhagavanth Keshri, Rahul Sanghvi, was outstanding.”
The first season of Rana Naidu, released in 2023, was well-received. An official adaptation of the American crime drama Ray Donovan, the show was directed by Karan Anshuman and Suparn Verma and produced by Sunder Aaron under Locomotive Global Inc. The cast included Surveen Chawla, Sushant Singh, Abhishek Banerjee, and Ashish Vidyarthi, adding depth and variety to the series.
Rana Naidu follows the story of Rana, a “fixer of the stars,” and his tumultuous relationship with his father, Naga, played by Venkatesh. The series explores their toxic and disruptive dynamics, alongside Rana’s efforts to resolve the issues faced by his high-profile clients. The show was adapted to suit Indian audiences and released in multiple languages, including Telugu and Hindi.
With the new season featuring additional star power and the same engaging storytelling, Rana Naidu season 2 promises to deliver even more drama and excitement to its viewers.
