Prime Video has unveiled the trailer of its upcoming Original series The Pyramid Scheme, a drama that looks at the dangerous world of quick money and fake business promises. The series explores how people get attracted to easy success, wealth and social status through pyramid schemes that appear profitable in the beginning but slowly create serious problems.
Produced by The Viral Fever, The Pyramid Scheme is created by Shreyansh Pandey and directed by Ashish R Shukla and Shreyansh Pandey. The series is written by Akshendra Mishra. It features Paramvir Singh Cheema, Ranvir Shorey, Shekhar Suman, Aanjjan Srivastav, Alfia Jafry and Ashish Raghava in lead roles. The supporting cast includes Akhilendra Mishra, Smita Bansal, Vijay Kumar, Indresh Malik, Ravi Bhel, Sushant Singh, Sonal Jha and Sadanand Patil.
The series will premiere on Prime Video in Hindi on June 5 across India and more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
The trailer introduces viewers to a flashy world where people are promised wealth and a better future in just six months. The story follows Goldy, played by Paramvir Singh Cheema, and Manoj Srivastava, played by Ranvir Shorey. Both characters come from different backgrounds and have different dreams, but they get pulled into a pyramid marketing business that promises fast money, success and respect.
The company convinces people that they can become rich simply by bringing more members into the system. At first, the business appears simple and rewarding. However, as Goldy and Manoj move higher in the system, they slowly realize that the foundation beneath them is becoming unstable and risky. The series focuses on how greed, pressure and ambition can affect people’s decisions and relationships.
Speaking about his role, Paramvir Singh Cheema said, “Goldy is a character completely different from anything I’ve played till now. He hails from Haridwar, the Gateway of Gods and that essence reflects deeply in who he is. Working with TVF made the character feel even more real and authentic. After the incredible experience of working with Prime Video and TVF on Sapne vs Everyone, collaborating with them again on a world and character so different felt truly exciting. I can’t wait for viewers to experience Goldy’s journey when The Pyramid Scheme premieres on Prime Video on June 5.”
