Jr NTR offered his genuine condolences to the superannuated actor Kota Srinivasa Rao, who unfortunately passed away in Hyderabad on July 13 due to age-related complications. Jr NTR was heard by the media after attending the funeral, saying some nice things about the incredible body of work left by the superannuated actor. “Let’s celebrate the phenomenal body of work he has left us in the form of his unforgettable acts on all media, and let’s do it with smiles, not tears,” NTR said in Telugu.
Fans Disrupted by Chants
As NTR finished off his poignant tribute and started walking away, some fans in the audience began chanted “Jai NTR.” visibly surprised by the disruption, Jr NTR turned around, pointed at the crowd, and firmly reminded them, “No, say Jai Kota Srinivasa Rao!” This incident immediately went viral, with fans and netizens lauding NTR for his respectful and humble reaction.

Rajamouli Also Speaks Out Against Fan Misbehavior
In another such incident, director SS Rajamouli was enraged when a fan attempted to take a selfie with him immediately after the funeral. Apparently disturbed by the fan’s lack of sensitivity, Rajamouli tried to steer clear of the situation but eventually ended up shoving the fan aside while giving him a stern stare to drive home the gravity of the situation.
A Cinematic Legend Remembered
Kota Srinivasa Rao was a giant in Indian cinema, having worked in more than 750 films in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. His talent for acting everything from villainous roles to moral elderly men made him a highly acclaimed actor. He was also a BJP MLA for Vijayawada East from 1994-2004 and received the Padma Shri in 2015 for his work in Indian cinema.
