Pushpa 2: The Rule is continuing its exceptional box-office run, defying the typical Monday drop that big-budget films often experience. As of December 9, the film has grossed over ₹900 crore worldwide and is on track to become one of the highest-grossing Indian films ever. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala confirmed that the film surpassed the ₹900 crore mark globally, with projections indicating it will soon join the ₹1,000 crore club.

The film’s domestic performance on Monday, while slightly lower than its record-breaking opening weekend, still showed strong resilience. It earned ₹64.1 crore nett in India on Monday, which is a fantastic sign, especially considering how crucial the Monday test is for a film’s longevity. Of this, the Hindi version of Pushpa 2 earned ₹46 crore nett, while the Telugu version made ₹14 crore nett. Tamil Nadu contributed ₹3 crore nett to the total.

Here’s a breakdown of the Pushpa 2 box office collection in India over the first five days (nett):

Day 0 (Premiere shows): ₹10.65 crore
Day 1: ₹164.25 crore
Day 2: ₹93.8 crore
Day 3: ₹119.25 crore
Day 4: ₹141.5 crore
Day 5: ₹64.1 crore

Total (5-day domestic): ₹593.1 crore nett

The Hindi version of the film leads the charge in terms of earnings, with ₹331.7 crore nett, followed by the Telugu version at ₹211.7 crore nett.

The success of Pushpa 2: The Rule is not just due to the star power of Allu Arjun, but also the strong direction of Sukumar, who continues the saga of Pushpa Raj—a character who has solidified his place as a powerhouse figure in the red sandalwood syndicate and the Indian political system. Alongside Allu Arjun, the film features performances by Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, and a talented supporting cast including Rao Ramesh, Jagapathi Babu, and Anasuya Bharadwaj.

Produced on a massive budget of ₹450 crore, Pushpa 2 is already proving to be a major box office success and has set new benchmarks for Indian cinema, especially in terms of global reach and audience engagement. With the trend it’s following, breaking the ₹1,000 crore mark seems inevitable.
