Rashmika Mandanna has finally spoken about the injury that kept her away from work for the past few weeks. The actor shared an honest update on Instagram, explaining what happened and assuring fans that she is recovering well. Although news about her injury had already surfaced, Rashmika said she had hoped to keep it private. “Hie guyssss! Injuries suck.. and I was really hoping that no one will get to know.. but well. Sorry I’ve been MIA but hieeee! I’m hereeee!” she wrote.
The actor also revealed that this is the third injury she has suffered in a row, making it a difficult period both physically and mentally. “It happened awhile ago ya and this is my 3rd injury back to back.. I should definitely learn to treat my body like a human body and not some machine.” Wanting to explain her condition in simple words, Rashmika joked, “Make way for the biology teacher,” before describing the injury. She said one of the four tendons on the right side of her hip had detached from the bone and now needs time to heal before she can comfortably lift her leg again.
The injury happened while filming a dance sequence for her upcoming film Mysaa. Speaking about the demanding project, she said, “And this happened during my dance shoot for Mysaa.. my god that’s the most aggressive film I’ve ever done for sure!” Despite the pain, Rashmika reassured fans that she is getting better. “But don’t worry.. it hurts but it’s not unbearable or something,” she wrote. She also joked that perhaps this was the universe’s way of forcing her to take a break because she never slows down. “I feel like this is God saying you’ll never take a break if it’s left to you so here.. let me do it for you!”

While recovering, Rashmika admitted that staying away from workouts has been one of the hardest parts. “Forced holiday – but hey not complaining at all!” she said, adding that she has been solving puzzles to pass the time. “I’ve been doing a lot of puzzles – had no idea I were this good with them.” She also laughed about missing exercise, saying, “I workout and run like a beast… now I won’t be able to workout or run for awhile and if I can’t workout then what do I doooo.. I eat.. and I become a dessert monster.”
The injury comes at an important stage in Rashmika’s career as Mysaa, directed by Rawindra Pulle and produced by Unformula Films, is her first female led pan India action film. Set in tribal lands, the action thriller is expected to showcase her in one of the most physically demanding roles of her career. Rashmika ended her message on a positive note, thanking fans for their support and promising to keep them updated. “Well that’s about it.. what else did I miss.. nothing na.. if anything I’ll update soon. Love ya! Don’t worry ok.. Biggest loves and kisses and hugs!”
