Bollywood’s TV queen and producer-director Ekta Kapoor is known for her outspokenness. These days she is in the news a lot about her upcoming film ‘The Sabarmati Report’. Recently, on the occasion of the trailer launch of the film, Ekta said something about Hindu religion, which surprised everyone.

When Ekta Kapoor was questioned about the film, she replied very frankly, “I am not afraid at all, because I have never done anything in life out of fear. I am a Hindu, but Hindu means you. I am secular and will never comment on any religion because I am a Hindu.” Her statement created a stir in the media, and discussions about Ekta’s frankness intensified.

The Sabarmati Report’ is based on the Godhra train burning incident that took place on 27 February 2002, in which the Sabarmati Express train was targeted. This incident not only affected the socio-political situation of India, but its impact was deep across the country.
