The recent altercation between Asim Riaz and Rohit Shetty on the set of “Khatron Ke Khiladi 14” has drawn significant attention, and Asim’s brother, Umar Riaz, has seemingly stepped in to defend him. Umar took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to post a cryptic message about “degrading” others, which many interpreted as a defense of his brother.
Umar’s post read: “Don’t degrade someone to a level that their worst demons come out! After that, anything that happens is not justified and never will be! Love can do wonders to a person and hate can make a person his own worst enemy! Just saying!” Although Umar did not explicitly mention Asim or Rohit, the timing and context led netizens to believe he was addressing the recent incident involving his brother.

The conflict began during a task where contestants Asim Riaz, Aashish Mehrotra, and Niyati Fatnani had to collect flags from a seesaw. Asim failed to complete the task, unlike Aashish and Niyati. When criticized, Asim argued that the challenge was impossible and challenged the team to complete it themselves, offering not to take any payment if they succeeded. Rohit Shetty responded by showing a rehearsal video proving the task was feasible and confronted Asim about his behavior, saying, “Kal bhi tune bahot bakwaas ki”
Rohit, visibly frustrated, warned Asim, “Sun meri baat sunle warna mei utha ke yahi patak dunga. Aise mere se badtameezi nahi karna”. This led to a tense moment where Asim walked towards Rohit but was stopped by the team. Subsequently, Asim was asked to leave the show, with Rohit stating, “I wish him all the luck but now he can’t continue in this show. He has a point of view, no doubt about it, and I respect that. I wish him all the luck. He is a young kid and may God bless him with success.”
