Upcoming Bollywood film TALVAR is based on the unsolved Aarushi Talwar case. Actress Konkana Sen Sharma, who is a mother in real life, is playing Aarushi’s on-screen mother in the movie.
When asked if she got emotional while shooting for the film, Konkana said, “You would be heartless not to be moved by this story, because it’s such a horrific tragedy that has occurred to the family. As a mother, while enacting those scenes it impacted me.
But I don’t think you need to be a mother to understand the horrific nature of this tragedy. Human empathy is such that one can empathize with people even if you’re not a mother. You can understand misfortune and tragedy in others. You don’t need to be in Nepal to experience earthquake and grasp the magnitude of it, right?”
Directed by Meghna Gulzar, produced by Vishal Bhardwaj and Priti Shahani, TALVAR also stars Irrfan Khan and Neeraj Kabi in pivotal roles. The movie is a story based on Aarushi Talwar murder case and is slated to release on October 2, 2015.
