Main Vaapas Aaunga continued its steady run at the Indian box office by collecting an estimated ₹1.25 crore on its third Wednesday. The film recorded a drop of around 25 per cent compared to its discounted Tuesday collections, but it has managed to maintain a stable performance in its third week. With this, the film’s total collection has reached ₹48 crore nett in India.
Directed by Imtiaz Ali, Main Vaapas Aaunga has shown consistent performance since its release. Although the daily collections have slowed in the third week, the film continues to attract audiences and remains on track to become a successful theatrical release. Based on its current trend, the movie is expected to cross the ₹50 crore nett mark by its fourth Friday.
The film stars Diljit Dosanjh, Naseeruddin Shah, Vedang Raina, and Sharvari in key roles. Industry estimates suggest that if it continues to perform well over the next few weeks, its lifetime collection in India could finish between ₹65 crore and ₹70 crore nett. However, maintaining this momentum may become more difficult as several major films are set to release in the coming weeks.
Upcoming releases, including Alpha and Dhamaal 4, are expected to increase competition at the box office. Despite this, Main Vaapas Aaunga still has an opportunity to continue its run if it can hold on to its current level of collections over the next couple of weeks.
Apart from its domestic performance, the film’s overseas collections are also being closely watched. Reports suggest that the movie has received limited screenings in international markets, which has affected its earning potential outside India. Despite positive word of mouth, the restricted release has made it difficult for the film to achieve stronger overseas numbers. While a collection of USD 4 million to USD 5 million may have been possible with wider distribution, current estimates suggest that finishing close to USD 3 million would now be considered a good result.
At the Indian box office, the film collected ₹11.50 crore during its first week, followed by ₹21.25 crore in the second week. In its third week, it earned ₹2.65 crore on Friday, ₹4.10 crore on Saturday, ₹4.25 crore on Sunday, ₹1.35 crore on Monday, ₹1.65 crore on Tuesday, and an estimated ₹1.25 crore on Wednesday. These collections have taken the film’s total India nett collection to ₹48 crore.
With the ₹50 crore milestone now within reach, the coming days will be important in determining how long Main Vaapas Aaunga can continue its run before facing stronger competition from new releases.
