The actress will next be seen opposite Abhay Deol, in Sethu Sriram’s upcoming SNAFU. Not many will know that more than 50 fresh faces were auditioned over 20 days before Puja was chosen.
To know her feeling and also the secret as to how she has managed to add variety to her roles during her still nascent career, we caught up with the beautiful, talented yet grounded Puja Gupta.

Says the actress, “Correct, my career has just started so I am kind of still learning. I can only say that (if) there is variety in the kind of roles that I have essayed, then it is by the grace of God. I am a total outsider, and have no relatives or contacts so to accept and reject as per my desire is not possible.”
When we queried her about the title of the film and her director Sethu Sriram, she told us, “SNAFU is a military term. It basically means reaching a situation which is totally out of hand. In a nut shell, you can say chaos. About Sethu, as you know he is a renowned cinematographer (TERE NAAM, WANTED, OMG: OH MY GOD! etc.). He always has a smile on his face. Never once did he make me feel that I am a newcomer. In fact, he conveys the feeling (after a shot) that ‘You are the best’ without saying it.”
