Right from school her music journey started and as always lead with her mesmerizing voice and unique music craft. She has sung massive songs in albums, movies and shows. She is an all-rounder singer who has sung songs in many different languages like – Hindi, Bhojpuri, Gujarati, Chhattisgarhi, Marathi, Sindhi and many more. Poonam Raj has done a fair amount of shows across India with the popular personalities of industries like – Kavita Krishnamurthy, Suresh Wadekar, Sudesh Bhosle, Kalyanji Anand Ji, Anup Jalota, Sadhana Sargam, her guru Ravindra Jain and many more.
Her shows are filled with more than 2500 people. Her music craft is incredible, where she writes a script for massive shows, does anchoring and singing. She has even given her voice for many devotional serials including the new Ramayan. Poonam has sung many Jain bhajans with the legend, Ravindra Jain. She has worked with the music brand name – T-series, Venus, Times. Raj is a popular name on YouTube and runs her channel – Musical Aura and her show work with social issues with a team of more than 100 people. Poonam Raj has done many TV music shows as well.
Belonging from a strong educational background family, her father was an Assistant Commissioner of Police in Delhi and her mother was a principal. Poonam did her post-graduation in Hindi literature. After accomplishing her education, she got married and her husband was a Bank Officer in a leading Bank. Music was the only thing that keep her life and she kept on gaining knowledge in music with numerous people. In school, she learned music from Meera Banerjee and Manmohan Sharma. In Mumbai, she learned a lot from her guru Ravindra Jain. She also trained herself classically under the classical singer Tulika Ghosh and continue learning music with Gautam Mukherjee, who is Guru of Shaan and Kavita Krishnamurthy.
Her versatility in singing, scriptwriting and anchoring is breathtaking. She is a music personality who has explored herself efficiently in each zone of music.
