Shraddha Kapoor recently launched the trailer for “Stree 2,” making a stunning appearance in a red silk saree by designer Masaba Gupta. The saree featured intricate golden weaves and a ‘kinari’ border, giving it a heritage look. Shraddha complemented her saree with medium-sized gold jhumkis, sleek bangles, and a long braid, echoing her character from the film. She opted for simple makeup with nude lipstick and kohl-lined eyes, adding a bold statement nose-pin instead of a neckpiece, letting the saree take center stage.

The “Stree 2” trailer opens with Pankaj Tripathi’s character, Rudra Bhaiya, introducing the new threat of a headless monster called ‘Sarkata’ to the villagers of Chanderi. This danger causes panic among the villagers, prompting them to seek protection from Stree, as opposed to their previous plea of “O stree kal aana” Now, they beg, “O stree raksha karna”, highlighting their desperate need for her protection.
The villagers’ change in plea underscores their dependence on Stree for safety, setting the stage for a thrilling blend of horror and comedy as they face this new supernatural threat. With returning beloved characters and fresh elements, “Stree 2” promises to be a captivating continuation of the story.
This event marked Shraddha’s first promotional look for the film, suggesting more traditional and fusion looks to come. In “Stree 2,” she is seen in ethnic suits, long skirts paired with kurtas or cotton shirts, all styled with silver jewelry. Off-duty, Shraddha’s style is simple, often featuring cotton anarkalis in pink and white or basic t-shirts with well-fitted denim.
“Stree 2,” also starring Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee, aims to take audiences back to the spooky and humorous world where Stree continues to haunt men. Set for release on August 15, 2024, the film promises a perfect blend of chills and laughs to celebrate Independence Day.
