Shahid Kapoor has recently updated his fans about his forthcoming film Deva by sharing a new poster on Instagram. In the poster, Shahid presents a rugged look, holding a gun, dressed in a white T-shirt, denim jeans, sunglasses, and a police jacket, set against a smoky background. Shahid will portray the role of a cop in the film.
Deva was initially slated for release in October this year but will now premiere on February 14, 2025. Shahid captioned the poster, “Get ready for a VIOLENT VALENTINE’S DAY. DEVA, releasing in theaters on 14th Feb 2025!” This announcement has sparked excitement among fans and fellow actors.
Shahid’s brother, Ishaan Khatter, reacted with firecracker and fire emojis, while other fans expressed their anticipation, with one commenting on the high standard set by recent action movies and another looking forward to seeing Shahid in a violent cop role.
The film’s narrative centers around a brilliant yet rebellious police officer investigating a high-profile case, which unravels a web of deceit and betrayal, leading to a thrilling and dangerous journey. Directed by Rosshan Andrrews, known for his Malayalam blockbusters Salute and Kayamkulam Kochunni, Deva also stars Pooja Hegde and Pavail Gulati.
Shahid Kapoor was last seen in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya alongside Kriti Sanon, which also featured Dharmendra and Dimple Kapadia and was well-received by the audience.
