Vettaiyan Advance Booking Box Office collection Day 1

The excitement surrounding Vettaiyan, starring Rajinikanth and featuring Amitabh Bachchan in his Tamil film debut, is palpable as it prepares for its theatrical release tomorrow. Vettaiyan, directed by T. J. Gnanavel and starring Rajinikanth alongside Amitabh Bachchan, is generating significant buzz as it prepares for its release. The film has already garnered ₹11.71 crore in advance bookings across India, with over 600,410 tickets sold for nearly 8,975 shows by 6 PM on Wednesday. The Tamil version has contributed ₹10.85 crore, while the Telugu and Hindi versions added ₹84 lakh and ₹93,120, respectively.

While Vettaiyan hasn’t matched the pre-release figures of Rajinikanth’s last film, Jailer—which grossed ₹18.24 crore on its opening day—it has surpassed the advance collections of Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 (₹10.98 crore), providing some reassurance to its makers.

The film’s production budget is reportedly ₹300 crore, and given Rajinikanth’s recent success with Jailer, which became the highest-grossing Tamil film of 2023, expectations are high for a strong box office performance as it approaches its first day of release. However, whether Vettaiyan can compete with the massive opening day grosses of recent blockbusters like Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD (₹191.5 crore) and Jr. NTR’s Devara: Part 1 (₹172 crore) remains to be seen.

Historically, Rajinikanth’s films have performed well, with Jailer recording a domestic gross of ₹56.6 crore on its release day. Previous films like Annaatthe, Darbar, Petta, and 2.0 also had notable openings, making fans eager to see how Vettaiyan will fare.

With an ensemble cast that includes Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan, Vettaiyan is set to hit screens worldwide on Thursday, promising to be a grand cinematic event. With the countdown underway, expectations are high for Vettaiyan to make a significant impact at the box office!
