The ongoing controversy between Divya Khosla Kumar and Alia Bhatt has escalated, with Divya taking a direct shot at Alia over the box office performance of Jigra. On Instagram, Divya shared a photo of an empty theater at a Jigra screening and criticized Alia, claiming that many theaters showing Jigra were running empty. In her post, Divya sarcastically praised Alia’s “courage,” suggesting that Alia had purchased her own film’s tickets to inflate box office numbers. She wrote, “#Aliabhatt me sach mein Bahut #Jigra hai.. khud hi tickets karide aur fake collections announce kar diye,” implying that Alia was manipulating the figures to present a more successful run than what the reality shows.

Divya also expressed frustration at what she called the silence of the paid media, using hashtags like #truthoverlies to emphasize her accusation. This public dig has added fuel to the rivalry between the two, as both Jigra and Divya’s film Savi share strikingly similar plots, which sparked comparisons between the two projects.
Previously, Divya had addressed these comparisons, acknowledging that both films center on jailbreaks Savi, where a housewife tries to free her husband from prison, and Jigra, where Alia’s character attempts a similar feat to rescue her brother. Despite the plot similarities, Divya maintained that every film has its own unique journey, and expressed gratitude for Savi’s success in both theaters and on OTT platforms.

As the feud intensifies, this battle of words between the two stars is garnering a lot of attention, further heating up the competition between the two films.
