Dia Mirza, who has been receiving a lot of love from the re-release of her debut film Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein, recently shared some fond memories from her time working on Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge with Salman Khan. She believes that if the film were to be re-released in theatres, it could receive a lot of love from audiences, given its nostalgic appeal.
In an interview with Connect Cine, Dia spoke about her deep admiration for Salman Khan, recalling how she was a big fan of his before they even worked together. She fondly shared, “I was a big Salman Khan fan when I signed that film, and when we started to work together, I would just look at him every day and think to myself that I can’t believe I am actually working with this person whose films I have watched over and over again.”
Dia also reflected on the protective nature Salman exhibited during their time shooting, especially as she was new to the film industry. She recalled filming in Rajasthan, where large crowds surrounded them, and how Salman ensured she was safe. She mentioned that back in those days, sets were often male-dominated, with few women present, but Salman was extremely caring and protective, making sure she was comfortable. Dia specifically remembered a scene on the outskirts of Jaipur, where they required additional security, and Salman’s efforts to look out for her stood out as a highlight of their collaboration.
