The teaser for the much-awaited sequel to the 2019 blockbuster Lucifer, L2E Empuraan, was released on Monday. The teaser, which is more than two minutes long, has been uploaded on Aashirvad Cinemas’ YouTube channel. It gives a glimpse into an action-packed narrative set in the abandoned town of Qaraqosh in Northern Iraq. Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and produced by Lyca Productions, the film is the second installment in the trilogy that began with Lucifer.
In the teaser, Mohanlal plays the complex character of Steven Nedumpally, a savior with a dark side. He is pitted against Ab’raam Qureshi, a leader of Asia’s most powerful mercenary group. The film promises to blend power struggles, betrayal, and political intrigue with mercenary action, all portrayed through grand visuals.
The movie features a star-studded cast, with Prithviraj, Indrajith Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Saniya Iyyappan, Sai Kumar, and Baiju Santosh in major roles. L2E Empuraan, the movie has been penned by Murali Gopy, with the musical composer being Deepak Dev and cinematography by Sujith Vaassudev. The Lyca Productions, in association with Antony Perumbavoor’s Aashirvad Cinemas, are backing the project.
The movie is the third collaboration between Mohanlal and Prithviraj, who have previously worked together on Lucifer and Bro Daddy. The teaser launch event was held in Kochi, with Mammootty as the chief guest. L2E Empuraan is scheduled for a worldwide release on March 27 in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi. Fans are eagerly awaiting the next chapter of this high-octane action franchise.
