Sabrina Carpenter brought home her first Grammy in the 2025 ceremony, taking home the Best Pop Vocal Album for *Short n’ Sweet. Taylor Swift, one of her biggest admirers, warmly greeted her at the stage as she moved to the front to collect her prize.

The stage was ignited by another first-time Grammy nominee, Carpenter, with a sparkling performance. Wearing a black-and-white suit, she made a playful entrance pretending to fumble and drop her glittering baton before taking her place on a grand white staircase. She then delivered energetic renditions of her smash hits Espresso and Please, Please, Please, captivating the audience.

In her emotional speech accepting the Grammy, the singer of Taste thanked her fans, family, and the Recording Academy. “Hello. I’m still out of breath from the performance so really wasn’t expecting this. All those nominees on the screen are some of my favorite artists in the world. This is my first Grammy, so, woo, I’m gonna cry,” she said, trying to hold back her tears.

“I wrote names so I wouldn’t forget on this nap. Thank you to the Recording Academy for having me and for bringing us all together to celebrate music. I want to thank all my fans … and my mom for driving me to every voice lesson.”

Carpenter’s victory is one of the top triumphs, for she edged out powerhouse nominees such as Ariana Grande (Eternal Sunshine), Billie Eilish (Hit Me Hard and Soft), Chappell Roan (The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess), and Taylor Swift (The Tortured Poets Department). With a Grammy now firmly in place and an unforgettable performance under her belt, the star power of Sabrina Carpenter grows evermore.
