In a recent interview, Karan Veer Mehra acknowledged that his win was met with mixed reactions. “Khush kam the log (people were less happy). At that time, I didn’t realize it. Now that I am watching videos and hearing negative things about me, it bothers me. I don’t feel bad for myself, but my mother fell sick because of the negativity,” he told Pinkvilla.
He further expressed confusion over the backlash, stating, “Yeh kyun kar rahe the? Mera toh inse lena dena bhi nahi tha. Main kise ke baare mein bol bhi nahi raha tha. Mai toh gym kar raha hun (Why were they doing this? I had nothing to do with them. I wasn’t even talking about them. I was just busy at the gym).”
