Ground Zero X Review: Emraan Hashmi’s War Film Gets a Standing Ovation from Netizens

Emraan Hashmi’s much-anticipated war drama Ground Zero hit theatres on April 25 and has been met with a wave of positive reactions from fans and moviegoers alike. Directed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar, the film sees Emraan stepping into the role of BSF Commandant Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey. Inspired by the real-life mission that led to the elimination of terrorist Ghazi Baba in Kashmir, the film delivers an emotionally intense and action-packed narrative.

Audiences who caught the early shows quickly took to X (formerly Twitter) to share glowing reviews. Ground Zero made history as the first film in 38 years to have a red-carpet premiere in Srinagar, Kashmir. The event took place just days before a tragic terror attack in Pahalgam, underlining the relevance and urgency of the film’s theme.

Speaking to IANS, Emraan shared the emotional and physical demands of portraying a soldier. “Every day brought new challenges. The psychological state of a soldier what they carry internally was especially challenging to express,” he said. His performance is now being widely hailed as one of his most powerful to date.
