In a shocking case, a woman tried breaking into the home of Bollywood star Aditya Roy Kapur, raising serious questions about celebrity security. The incident was reported on May 26 at the actor’s Bandra West, Mumbai, residence and comes barely a week after a break attempt at Salman Khan’s house.
As per a PTI report, Aditya Roy Kapur was not available at home during the break-in as he was out for a shoot. Only his domestic staff was there. Around 6 p.m., the doorbell rang and the maid opened it to find a strange woman standing outside. The woman asked if it was Aditya’s residence and upon assurance, wanted to meet Aditya with an excuse of dropping a gift.

Even after being requested to leave, the woman is said to have declined and insisted on going inside the house. Scared, the maid called Aditya over the phone, who explained that he was unfamiliar with the woman. After this, the maid called the building security, who in turn called the Khar Police Station.
The woman was identified as 47-year-old Ghazala Zakaria Siddiqui from Dubai. She was unable to give a satisfactory reason for the visit or clarify her relation with the actor under police interrogation. A complaint has been lodged against her, and now the case is under investigation by the Mumbai police.
The incident points to increasing security issues involving Bollywood stars. The past months have seen various stars subject to security threats, which include an attempted break-in at Salman Khan’s residence as well as a previous attack incident involving Saif Ali Khan. The ongoing repeated violation is a pointer to the imperative need for enhanced security arrangements for entertainment industry public figures.
