A Musical Connection Ignited by ‘Tum Hi Ho’

Ed Sheeran announced that he initially came across Arijit Singh’s songs when he watched the movie Aashiqui 2, specifically the hit song Tum Hi Ho. “I was mesmerized with his voice, the song, and the emotion of the scene,” Ed penned. That first impression pushed him to get in touch with Arijit, and they soon bonded over their love for music.

Their partnership intensified when Arijit requested Ed to guest sing at his concert in London, where they performed Sheeran’s hit Perfect. At this meet-and-greet, Ed presented an early draft of Sapphire, and Arijit started providing ideas instantly.
