K-pop idol Yeo Jin Goo of the hit K-drama Hotel del Luna is in the eye of a social media storm. The actor is under scrutiny recently after fans realized that his official X (formerly Twitter) username was following an NSFW (not-safe-for-work) archive page of pornography, which sparked online outrage.
Agency Addresses NSFW Account Controversy
This occurred on Thursday, July 24, when netizens caught sight of the suggestive account in the actor’s follows list. Although the account was at once unfollowed, screenshots were already buzzing around like wildfire. Taking action against the backlash, Yeo Jin Goo’s agency issued an official statement, explaining that the accident was not created by the actor himself.
It is not directly run by Yeo Jin Goo but is controlled by staff members. It was an accidental misclick,” the agency told Newsen. They also assured fans that more precautions will be taken in the future to avoid such mistakes. “We will ensure this does not happen again,” they added.

From Child Star to Leading Man
Popularly referred to as the “Nation’s Little Brother,” Yeo Jin Goo began his acting career while he was just a child, debuting in the 2005 movie Sad Movie. He subsequently worked in dramas and films like A Frozen Flower (2008), Giant (2010), and Moon Embracing the Sun (2012). His breakthrough came in 2013 when he starred in Hwayi: A Monster Boy, for which he won the Best New Actor award at the Blue Dragon Film Awards.
Current Projects
Yeo Jin Goo is also part of the cast of The Great Escape: The Story, a reality show where contestants must solve intricate escape room puzzles. It premiered on TVING on July 23 and also features Kang Ho Dong, Go Kyung Pyo, and EXO’s Baekhyun.
