The romantic drama Param Sundari, directed by Tushar Jalota and featuring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, has officially received a new release date. Originally slated to hit theatres on July 25, the film’s release was unexpectedly postponed. Maddock Films has now confirmed that Param Sundari will premiere worldwide on August 29.
The film was initially scheduled to clash with Ajay Devgn’s Son of Sardaar 2, but both releases were reportedly delayed due to the box office success of Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara, starring Aneet Padda and Ahaan Panday. With Saiyaara continuing to draw massive crowds, the makers of Param Sundari opted for a later release window.
First Song ‘Pardesiya’ Released
Building anticipation for the film, the first song titled ‘Pardesiya’ has now been released. Sharing the update, Maddock Films wrote: “Breathe it. Feel it. Live it! Pardesiya… let love take over your heart! The biggest love song of the year #Pardesiya, song out now!”
Fans have quickly embraced the track, which is expected to be a chart-topper.
A Cross-Cultural Love Story
Param Sundari explores a cross-cultural romance between a North Indian boy and a South Indian girl. The film’s first look, unveiled in May, generated a wave of excitement online. Netizens praised the chemistry between Sidharth and Janhvi, comparing it to beloved films like Chennai Express and 2 States. Despite the buzz, the trailer has yet to be released.

The release also comes at a special time for Sidharth Malhotra, who recently became a father with wife Kiara Advani. It remains to be seen whether the actor will take part in promotions amid his new responsibilities.
