Shahid’s Upcoming Action Thriller: Romeo
Beyond the fashion spotlight, Shahid Kapoor is gearing up for one of his most anticipated roles yet. He is currently filming Romeo, an action-packed crime drama directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and backed by producer Sajid Nadiadwala. The film boasts a stellar cast including Triptii Dimri, Randeep Hooda, and Nana Patekar, with Disha Patani set to make a special cameo appearance.
Initially titled Arjun Ustra, the makers recently finalized Romeo as the film’s title. According to insiders, the name aligns perfectly with Shahid’s dynamic and complex gangster character. The film explores gritty themes, layered characters, and intense storytelling a signature of Bhardwaj’s direction.
Romeo also marks the fourth collaboration between Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj after their critically acclaimed projects Haider, Kaminey, and Rangoon.

Shahid’s Romeo is slated to release on December 5, 2025, and is set for a major box office clash with Dhurandhar a high-octane action drama starring Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and R Madhavan.
