The eagerly anticipated trailer of The Trial: Pyaar, Kanoon, Dhokha Season 2 is finally here, and it hints at an even more charged mix of courtroom politics, political maneuvering, and internal conflict. Featuring Kajol as the feisty and quick-witted lawyer Noyonika Sengupta, the second season will release on September 19, 2025, on JioHotstar.
Noyonika Faces New Challenges
Season 2 begins with Noyonika finally taking the decision to divorce her scandalized husband, Rajiv (played by Jisshu Sengupta), following events in Season 1. However, things get complicated when Rajiv suddenly turns to her for legal assistance in an effort to revive his political fortunes. This places Noyonika in the middle of a dramatic power play.
Falling into step with this sequence is the arrival of Sonali Kulkarni as Narayani Dhole, a caustic political opponent who will stop at nothing to topple Rajiv from his position.
Power Struggles at Work and Matters of the Heart
As if her own struggles weren’t enough, Noyonika also becomes embroiled in office politics back at her law firm. Sheeba Chaddha reappears as Malini Khanna, hell-bent on maintaining order in the face of escalating tensions. In the meantime, Noyonika’s one-time boyfriend Vishal (Alyy Khan) returns in her life, reigniting unfinished feelings.
