Salman Khan is back in action, quite literally, with his upcoming film Battle of Galwan, based on the real-life 2020 border clash between Indian and Chinese troops. The project has already generated massive buzz, especially with Salman’s rugged, battle-hardened look revealed in the film’s motion poster. Sporting a bloodied uniform, a fierce moustache, and a look of raw patriotism, Salman’s transformation has become the talk of the town.
High-Stakes Climax to Be Shot First
According to India Today, the production team is prioritizing the film’s emotionally and visually powerful climax scenes early in the shoot. A source said, “Galwan’s climax is among the most important parts of the film. Given Leh and Ladakh’s unpredictable weather, the makers want to ensure the quality isn’t compromised.” These sequences are being filmed on location in the harsh terrains of Ladakh, adding authenticity and intensity to the war drama.
A True Story of Bravery and Sacrifice
Battle of Galwan is inspired by the deadly clash in June 2020, when Indian and Chinese forces engaged in a brutal hand-to-hand battle in the Galwan Valley. Despite agreements banning firearms, the conflict marked the most violent border skirmish in over four decades.
The film stars Salman Khan opposite Chitrangda Singh and features an ensemble cast including Zeyn Shaw, Ankur Bhatia, Harshil Shah, Heera Sohall, Abhilash Chaudhary, and Vipin Bhardwaj.

Salman Opens Up About Physical Challenges
Salman recently revealed how demanding the film has been physically. “Every year it gets tougher. This film requires intense training—running, kicking, punching—especially in Ladakh’s high altitudes and freezing conditions,” he shared. He compared it to his previous film Sikandar, calling Battle of Galwan “far more physically difficult.”
Fans and celebrities alike are hailing this film as Salman’s much-needed comeback.
