Actor Alia Bhatt smiled her way into the Durga Puja celebrations hosted by the families of Rani Mukerji and Kajol on Wednesday. Wearing a yellow lehenga in traditional attire with a white blouse, Alia glowed as she joined the festivities. She left her locks open, kept things simple with earrings, and put in her own charm to the festive pandal ambiance.
Alia was seen making prayers and posing for a photo shoot in front of Goddess Durga’s statue. She shared warm moments with Rani Mukerji, such as an off-camera incident when she unknowingly stepped over Rani’s saree—an incident that cost the two of them equal amounts of laughter. Alia then took out her phone and clicked a smiling selfie of herself, Rani, director Ayan Mukerji, and Kajol’s sister, Tanisha Mukerji.
The pandal has seen a star turnout in recent days. Priyanka Chopra, Bipasha Basu, Sushmita Sen, and Ranbir Kapoor visited the venue to offer their prayers during Navratri. Ranbir was at the event just yesterday. The actor celebrated his 43rd birthday recently on Sunday.
On the work front, Alia was recently seen in Jigra, starring in the film directed by Vasan Bala, released in 2024. She will be seen next in Alpha, the latest YRF Spy Universe extension, starring Sharvari. The film will release on Christmas 2025.
Viewers will also spot her in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s eagerly awaited epic Love & War, in which she has lead roles with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. The film, in which Ranbir and Vicky play Indian Air Force pilots, has been shooting in Rajasthan throughout the year.
