Former members of One Direction Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik will be back on screen together again for a very personal Netflix docu-series. The three-part series, produced by Campfire Studios and executive produced by Nicola Marsh, sees the two pals take a reflective cross-country road trip across America.
The documentary, which was shot last week, gives the fans a glimpse into the lives of the two stars as they reminisce about their past, personal development, and struggles they’ve encountered since leaving One Direction. Fans are in for candid talks about how they have navigated fame, how their respective solo music careers have been, and changes they’ve undergone through fatherhood.
One of the series’ core and emotional threads is the deep effect of the death of their late band member, Liam Payne, who passed away in October 2024. In intimate, personal, and candid moments, Louis and Zayn share their sorrow and the indestructible bond they have—not only with one another, but with the memory of the band that once united millions across the globe.

It’s their first major project after Zayn left One Direction back in 2015 between Tomlinson and Malik, and it is the long-awaited reunion fans have been waiting on for years. Their paths are against America’s expansive landscapes, which represent the distances they’ve covered as well as the healing they’ve pursued along the way.
The yet-to-be-named docu-series will be released on Netflix in 2026 and will be a heartwarming journey of friendship, superstardom, and learning to deal with loss. It will be a must-see for both One Direction fans and music fans at large.
