R Madhavan has dropped the gripping first look of his upcoming series Legacy, hinting at a gritty crime drama filled with power struggles, family conflicts, and the battle for survival. Sharing the poster on Instagram, Madhavan wrote, “Samraajiyame pattri yeriginra podhu, Kreedathai aniya thunivadhu yaar..? Watch Legacy, coming soon, only on Netflix.”
Directed by Charukesh Sekar and produced by Kalyan Shankar under the Stone Bench Pvt Ltd banner, Legacy stars Gautham Karthik, Gulshan Devaiah, and Abhishek Banerjee in key roles. The series reportedly follows a powerful figure known as Periyavar, who finds himself racing against time to name a successor and protect his crumbling empire. As rivalries intensify, Legacy delves into the emotional and psychological price of power and family loyalty.
Madhavan was last seen in The Test alongside Nayanthara, earning praise for his grounded performance. Now, fans will also see him in a completely different avatar in De De Pyaar De 2, the much-anticipated sequel to the 2019 romantic comedy.
