Actor and comedian Kiku Sharda has finally spoken up about the ongoing rumors of quitting The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show. During a recent interview with Zoom, the popular entertainer made it clear that he will not be quitting the show and remains a part of the successful comedy series.
Kiku, a long-time member of Kapil Sharma’s unit and a favourite among viewers for his flawless comic sense and iconic characters, was left surprised by the fake news. “I want to make one thing very clear that I absolutely love Kapil’s show. I love Kapil Sharma so much, and there’s no way I would ever quit it,” he stated. He also revealed that the rumors took him entirely by surprise.
“Pata nahi ye baat kaise itni badi ho gayi aur main jab bahar aaya tab mujhe pata chala ki ye baat matlab sab ye baatein kar rahe the ki maine chhod diya hai. Main kyun nahin chhodunga yaar. I mean I genuinely enjoy myself so much on that show,” Kiku said openly, silencing all rumors.
Archana Puran Singh, another popular face on the show, also came forward to deny the allegations. In a previous conversation with SCREEN, she said, “Absolutely not true,” affirming that Kiku is still an integral part of the crew.
A source from the production also supported these claims, making the matter clearer. “Kiku is not leaving the show, you will see him in the next episodes also. He has finished shooting for the show before beginning his next project. Kiku is very much with The Great Indian Kapil Show,” the insider disclosed.
The fans had started speculating about Kiku’s exit after he had been appearing less in some of the recent episodes, and a stream of chatter went up on social media. But now it is officially confirmed that he was just balancing his other professional engagements and is still dedicated to Kapil Sharma’s show.
