The Ultimate Sci-Fi Collaboration! Keanu Reeves and Deadpool Director Tim Miller Join Forces for New Film

Buckle Up for the Ride! Keanu Reeves and Tim Miller's Shiver is the Ultimate Sci-Fi Thrill

Hollywood icon Keanu Reeves is set to make a thrilling return to the sci-fi genre with his next project, Shiver, an upcoming action-packed film directed by Tim Miller, best known for Deadpool. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. is in the final stages of closing a deal to acquire the film, which is already generating major buzz for its powerhouse creative team.

The project will be produced by Matthew Vaughn, the filmmaker behind the Kingsman franchise, under his banner Marv Films, alongside Aaron Ryder (Dumb MoneyAll of You). The screenplay is written by Ian Shorr, known for SplinterOffice Uprising, and Infinite.

Shiver is described as a gripping fusion of Edge of Tomorrow and The Shallows — a high-octane blend of science fiction and survival thriller. The story follows a down-on-his-luck smuggler who becomes trapped in a deadly double-cross during a job in the Caribbean Sea. Surrounded by mercenaries, corpses, and sharks, he soon discovers he’s caught in a time loop, forcing him to relive the same perilous events until he can find a way to escape the cycle.

Director Tim Miller, a former visual effects artist, made his directorial debut with Deadpool (2016) and later helmed Terminator: Dark Fate (2019). He is also the creator of Netflix’s Emmy-winning animated anthology series Love, Death & Robots.

For the 61-year-old Reeves, Shiver marks another major addition to his action resume following Ballerina, the John Wickspinoff starring Ana de Armas, released earlier this year. Reeves was last seen in Aziz Ansari’s directorial debut Good Fortune, co-starring Seth Rogen, Keke Palmer, and Sandra Oh. Despite modest box-office returns, the actor remains busy with upcoming projects including Netflix’s BRZRKR and Jonah Hill’s Outcome.
