Actor Esha Deol has firmly dismissed rumours about her father, veteran Bollywood star Dharmendra’s death, clarifying that he is stable and recovering. On Tuesday morning, Esha shared a statement on Instagram, condemning the false reports circulating online. “The media seems to be in overdrive and spreading false news. My father is stable and recovering. We request everyone to give our family privacy. Thank you for the prayers for papa’s speedy recovery,” she wrote.
Speculation about Dharmendra’s health had been spreading since November 1, when the 88-year-old actor was admitted to the hospital after experiencing breathlessness. Several media outlets reported that he had been moved to the ICU and placed on life support, but these claims were later denied by his family and representatives.
A statement from Sunny Deol’s team clarified that Dharmendra was “stable and under observation,” urging fans to avoid misinformation and to continue praying for his recovery. “It’s rumour mongering like always. Sir is getting better. He’s under observation. There’s nothing to worry,” the team told The Times of India.
Hema Malini, Dharmendra’s wife, also took to social media to reassure fans. “I thank everyone for their concern about Dharam ji who is in hospital for observation. He is being continuously monitored and we are all with him. I request you all to pray for his welfare and speedy recovery,” she posted on Instagram.
