Single Papa teaser: Kunal Kemmu’s Shocking Decision to Adopt a Baby Leaves His Family Speechless!

From Man-Child to Responsible Dad: Kunal Kemmu's Journey Will Leave You in Stitches!

Netflix has unveiled the first teaser for its upcoming family comedy Single Papa, offering a hilarious glimpse into the wonderfully chaotic world of the Gehlot family. Starring Kunal Kemmu in the lead role, the series is set to premiere on December 12, 2025, and promises a lively blend of humour, drama, and classic desi-style kalesh. The teaser introduces audiences to Kemmu’s character, Gaurav “GG” Gehlot, whose comedic take on emotional growth and self-discovery sets the tone for the show.

The story kicks off shortly after GG’s divorce, when he shocks his traditional Great Indian Family with a sudden and unexpected decision—adopting a child on his own. The teaser captures the Gehlots’ collective disbelief as they struggle to process how a self-proclaimed “man-child,” who can’t even keep track of his socks, plans to raise a baby. The reactions of Papa and Mummy Gehlot, played by Manoj Pahwa and Ayesha Raza, along with GG’s sharp-tongued sister (Prajakta Koli), form the comedic heart of the teaser.

In one of the standout moments, GG proudly presents the baby—carried home in a cardboard box—while the family reacts with a chaotic mix of confusion, concern, and heartbreak. The teaser perfectly encapsulates the generational divide, as each family member grapples with GG’s unconventional life choice.

Kemmu brings charm and comic vulnerability to GG, a man stumbling but determined as he transitions from carefree man-child to responsible single father. Pahwa and Raza deliver pitch-perfect portrayals of the quintessential Indian parental duo—Mummy Gehlot worrying endlessly about “log kya kahenge,” Papa Gehlot trying to trace the baby’s origins, and Sister Gehlot firing off witty one-liners.

Single Papa is created and co-produced by Ishita Moitra and Neeraj Udhwani, with Shashank Khaitan serving as executive producer. Directed by Udhwani, Khaitan, and Hitesh Kewalya, the series explores unexpected parenthood with warmth, humour, and heart.

The comedy-drama will stream exclusively on Netflix beginning December 12, 2025.
