Akshaye Khanna’s Viral Entry from Dhurandhar Has a Secret—Meet the Arab Rapper Behind Fa9la

Akshaye Khanna’s Fa9la entry in Dhurandhar goes viral, boosting Bahraini rapper Flipperachi’s track as the film earns ₹152 crore worldwide.

If Bobby Deol had audiences hooked with Jamal Kudu in Animal, Akshaye Khanna now has his own breakout anthem — Fa9la. The electrifying track serves as the background score for Akshaye’s viral entry scene in Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar, and fans across India cannot stop talking about it. The combination of Akshaye’s fierce performance and the track’s high-octane energy has turned the moment into one of the most memorable character introductions in recent Indian cinema.

Fa9la is a Khaleeji-style hip-hop track by Bahraini rapper Flipperachi, one of the most acclaimed young voices in the Arab hip-hop scene. Originally released in 2024, the track had already earned over 7 million views on YouTube before being handpicked by composer Shashwat Sachdev for Dhurandhar. Its pounding beats and swaggering tone perfectly set the stage for Akshaye Khanna’s menacing yet charismatic character, Rehman Dakait.

With the film hitting theatres this Friday, the song immediately caught fire in India, quickly becoming a sensation on Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. As fan edits and dance clips flooded social media, Jio and Ranveer Singh released the film version of the track online to meet soaring demand. Ranveer, who stars in the film, even used Fa9la in a separate Instagram post, openly expressing his love for the track.

Flipperachi, born Hussam Aseem, has long been considered a standout figure in the Middle Eastern hip-hop world. According to LastFM, he discovered his passion for music at the age of 12 and honed his rap style throughout his teens. He began his professional journey in 2003 and has since collaborated with international artists, earning acclaim for blending cultural identity with modern rap. His biggest hits include Ee Laa, Shino AlKalam Hatha, Shoofha, and Nayda. In 2024, he won the prestigious Bahraini Artist of the Year award, further cementing his status as a major regional talent.

Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh in the lead along with Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and R. Madhavan, has been drawing audiences despite mixed critical reviews. Strong word of mouth has helped the film earn a massive ₹152 crore gross worldwide in its opening weekend. And while the film features several standout moments, it is Akshaye Khanna’s Fa9la entry sequence that has unquestionably stolen the spotlight — turning a regional hip-hop track into India’s latest cinematic phenomenon.
