In the aftermath of Bigg Boss 19, music composer Amaal Mallik has become the center of a heated controversy sparked by fellow musicians Sachet–Parampara. The duo recently released a detailed video accusing Amaal of making “false and baseless” claims about the origins of their hit track “Bekhayali” from Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Kabir Singh.
The dispute escalated shortly after Amaal made statements suggesting that the blockbuster song drew inspiration from an older tune he had composed. According to Sachet–Parampara, these repeated claims left them no choice but to address the issue publicly for their “mental peace.”
During a recent public appearance, Amaal was seen smiling while interacting with the media. However, the moment a reporter brought up the controversy, his representative swiftly intervened and escorted him away, saying, “No, no, no, baad mein.” Amaal offered a brief “all the best” before exiting the interaction, seemingly avoiding further discussion on the matter.
In their video, Sachet–Parampara firmly asserted that Bekhayali was crafted entirely by them during collaborative sessions with the film’s team, including actor Shahid Kapoor and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. “Every melody, every composition, every arrangement, every lyric was made when the entire Kabir Singh team was present. It is purely a Sachet–Parampara original composition,” they said.
They also displayed WhatsApp chats allegedly exchanged with Amaal to counter his assertions. According to them, Amaal is now implying that they “stole” his song, a claim they find deeply upsetting. “We are so sorry we have to come down to this level and explain everything publicly,” they said emotionally. They questioned why Amaal would make such allegations, asking, “What is the need for all this?”

Demanding accountability, the duo called on Amaal to provide proof of his claims and declared that they, too, would present their evidence. They emphasized that Amaal’s remarks had damaged their professional reputation and requested a public apology.
This controversy stems from Amaal’s earlier interview with Siddharth Kannan, where he stated that Sachet–Parampara used one of his tracks as a reference point for Bekhayali. He further claimed that he had shared the melody with them over WhatsApp—something the duo strongly denies.
As the dispute intensifies, fans await whether Amaal will issue a statement or if the matter will escalate further.
