Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 is currently making waves at the box office, with audiences praising its action, visuals, and performances. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film has impressed many, and now a behind the scenes story has added even more excitement for fans. The film’s prosthetics artist Karandeep Singh recently shared his experience of working with Ranveer on Instagram.
He spoke about the actor’s dedication and how seriously he takes his craft, especially while playing two different sides of his character.
Karandeep wrote, “@ranveersingh we love you The precision with which you performed Hamza and then transformed into Jaskirat was simply outstanding. As an artist working closely with you, I learned so much about what hard work, persistence, and honesty towards your craft really mean. I still remember you telling everyone on set — ‘Apne kaam pe focus karo… kyunki yeh mazaak nahi chal raha.'”
He further explained how Ranveer’s discipline showed even during physically demanding shoots. “And today, that dedication is visible on screen for the whole world to see. I truly hope people learn from the discipline and passion behind this massive success. As a makeup artist, working with you is always a pleasure. Not once have you shown tantrums, even when we had to apply heavy prosthetics, blood effects, and complex makeup for hours — sometimes in 45° heat with those intense costumes.”
The process of creating these looks was not easy, but Ranveer made it smoother for the entire team. “Trust me, it’s not easy… but you always made it easier for the team. And like you used to say on set, ‘Tum logon ko nahi pata humne kya create kiya hai.’ Well… now the whole world knows. Thank you for the love, patience, and trust you showed in our work,” Karandeep added.
Apart from the behind the scenes praise, the film has also received mixed to positive reviews. News18 Showsha gave it 3.5 stars and appreciated Ranveer’s performance.
“As far as performances are concerned, the soul of Dhurandhar 2 lies firmly with Ranveer Singh, who delivers an absolutely outstanding act. He is undeniably the star of the film, carrying the narrative on his shoulders with remarkable ease and conviction. From the very first scene, Ranveer Singh commands attention with an intense screen presence that is hard to look away from.”
“Overall, despite its scale and ambition, Dhurandhar 2 feels slightly weaker in comparison to the original film, which was released in December 2025. While the sequel amps up action and visual spectacle, it misses the tighter storytelling that made the first film a blockbuster. Certain subplots, like the underdeveloped romance and limited use of key characters, dilute its impact. The pacing also feels uneven, with portions that could have been skipped. Even some thematic elements appear forced, making the narrative less organic. As a result, despite its highs, the sequel doesn’t quite match the original’s overall effectiveness,” the review also mentioned.
Overall, the film continues to attract attention, with Ranveer Singh’s performance standing out as its biggest strength.
