Dhurandhar The Revenge Sees Big Drop In Fifth Weekend

Dhurandhar The Revenge earns Rs. 956.75 crore but sees a 63 per cent drop in fifth weekend as competition impacts its box office performance.

The film Dhurandhar: The Revenge recorded a drop in its box office collections during its fifth weekend. The movie earned around Rs. 11.50 crore over the weekend, with Rs. 4.75 crore coming in on Sunday. This is a decline of about 63 per cent compared to the previous weekend. The drop was expected as the film faced new competition from Bhooth Bangla, which released recently.

So far, the total collection of the film has reached Rs. 956.75 crore nett at the Hindi box office. The film stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role and is directed by Aditya Dhar. Based on current trends, the movie is expected to add around Rs. 6 to 8 crore during the weekdays and may close its fifth week with a total of about Rs. 17 crore.

Looking ahead, the film needs to maintain steady collections for the next few weeks if it wants to go beyond Rs. 975 crore nett in Hindi. However, reaching the Rs. 1000 crore nett mark in Hindi alone now looks difficult based on its current pace.

Even with this slowdown, the film has already achieved a major milestone. It has been declared an ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER and has made a significant mark at the box office. It also became the first Hindi film to cross the Rs. 1000 crore nett mark in India when all versions, including dubbed ones, are counted.

In terms of audience numbers, the film has recorded around 3.50 crore footfalls so far and is expected to finish at around 3.75 crore. This is slightly below what is usually seen for films at the highest level. However, the total earnings are much higher, which is partly due to higher ticket prices. In the end, overall box office collection remains the main measure of success.
