Vijay Varma has become part of an online discussion after referring to Kartik Aaryan as the “King of PR” during a recent interview. The comment was made while he was promoting his web series Matka King and quickly gained attention on social media.
The moment happened during a conversation with WeAreYuvaa, where Vijay participated in a rapid fire segment. He was asked to give titles to different actors, and when asked who he considers the “King of PR” in Bollywood, he named Kartik Aaryan. Although the segment was meant to be light and fun, the clip spread widely online and led to mixed reactions.
Many users supported Vijay Varma, saying that his comment was honest and not meant to offend. One Reddit user wrote, “Honestly he is spot on with all the answers.” Another user added, “I think being honest is not a crime, completely supporting Vijay Verma here!”
Some people also pointed out that such rapid fire segments are usually taken lightly. One comment said, “It was rapid fire yaar, why take it so seriously?” Another added, “It was clearly meant in a light hearted way…nothing “PR expose” level dramatic about it.” A few users also mentioned that both actors come from outside the film industry and should not be compared in a negative way.
Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan is preparing for his upcoming film Naagzilla. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film is set to release in theatres on February 12 2027, close to Valentine’s Day. The project is produced by Dharma Productions and Mahaveer Jain Films. Kartik was last seen in Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri with Ananya Panday, which did not perform well at the box office.
On the other hand, Vijay Varma is currently seen in Matka King, which is set in 1960s Mumbai and is available on Amazon Prime Video. The series tells the story of a cotton trader who builds a gambling network, exploring themes like ambition, power, and morality.
