She shared that this relationship goes back to her grandfather Rajni Patel, who was a well known legal expert and political figure. In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Ameesha explained that her grandfather had a close association with former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. She said that he was actively involved in politics and often worked closely with her. It was booked in Taj Mahal Palace, South Bombay, Colaba. And that’s how my parents got married.”
Ameesha further recalled an early moment from her life. She said, “When I was born at Breach Candy Hospital, the first person to come and see me was Indira Gandhi,” highlighting how close the families were.
