The Devil Wears Prada 2 continued its stable performance at the Indian box office as the film entered its second weekend. Starring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway in the lead roles, the movie collected Rs. 1.40 crore on its second Friday.
The film has managed to maintain steady collections during weekdays after a strong first weekend. Trade estimates suggest the movie is likely to see a rise in collections on Saturday and Sunday, which could help it cross the Rs. 25 crore mark by the end of the second weekend.
At present, the total collection of The Devil Wears Prada 2 stands at Rs. 23.10 crore gross in India. Based on current trends, the film is expected to continue its run towards the Rs. 30 crore mark in the coming days. Reports also suggest that the movie may finish its theatrical run close to Rs. 40 crore gross at the Indian box office.
The film is now expected to become the fourth successful Hollywood release in India this year. It is also likely to cross the lifetime collection of The Mummy directed by Lee Cronin. Whether it can surpass the final collection of Michael remains to be seen.
