Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart continued to perform steadily at the box office during its first week in theatres. The film collected around Rs. 1.10 crore on Day 7, which was Thursday, taking its total first week Hindi nett collection to approximately Rs. 11.65 crore.
Directed by Hardik Gajjar, the movie stars Siddharth Gupta in the lead role. The film combines mythology, fantasy, romance, and drama while focusing on the Krishna avatar. According to current box office trends, the movie is expected to see a rise in collections during its second weekend, which could help it cross the Rs. 15 crore mark.
Trade observers believe the film will need to maintain a stable performance in its second week as well if it wants to continue its theatrical run for a longer period. Matching or coming close to its first week total during the second week could help the film stay strong at the box office.
The performance of Krishnavataram Part 1 has also led to comparisons with Mahavatar Narsimha, which released last year. That animated movie was based on two avatars of Lord Vishnu and had opened with Rs. 1.25 crore nett on its first day. However, the film later witnessed a major jump in collections over the weekend, earning Rs. 3.25 crore nett on Saturday and Rs. 6.25 crore nett on Sunday. It eventually finished its Hindi run with around Rs. 170 crore nett.
Krishnavataram Part 1 has not shown the same kind of rapid growth so far, but films in the mythological genre can sometimes be unpredictable at the box office. Last year, another film titled Laalo: Krishna Sada Sahayate had a slow start and saw little response during its first three weeks before collections increased sharply later.
The box office collections for Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart in Hindi currently stand at Rs. 0.40 crore from previews, Rs. 1.05 crore on Friday, Rs. 2.15 crore on Saturday, Rs. 3.20 crore on Sunday, Rs. 1.05 crore on Monday, Rs. 1.55 crore on Tuesday, Rs. 1.15 crore on Wednesday, and an estimated Rs. 1.10 crore on Thursday. The total first week collection stands at Rs. 11.65 crore nett.
