Actor turned politician C. Joseph Vijay has once again become the centre of attention after receiving a special gift following his recent political victory in Tamil Nadu. Days after filmmaker Venkat Prabhu gifted him a unique number plate that many fans connected with his political success, Vijay has now been presented with a cricket bat signed by Indian cricket star Virat Kohli.
On Friday, officials from MRF met Vijay at the state secretariat in Chennai and handed over the signed bat as a gift. Several photos from the meeting later surfaced online and quickly became popular on social media platforms. The delegation from MRF included Chairman and Managing Director KM Mammen, Vice Chairman and Managing Director Arun Mammen, and Managing Director Rahul Mammen. According to reports, the meeting mainly focused on the company’s business activities and operations in Tamil Nadu.
In the viral photographs, Vijay can be seen smiling while proudly holding the bat signed by Virat Kohli. The newly appointed Chief Minister appeared in a formal black suit along with a white open collar shirt. He also added a traditional touch to his outfit by draping a veshti with gold zari borders over one shoulder. Many social media users praised his appearance and the memorable moment shared during the official meeting.

Vijay, officially known as C. Joseph Vijay, took oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on May 10, 2026. The swearing in ceremony was held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and marked a major political development in the state. Leading his political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, Vijay emerged as the single largest force in the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections by winning 108 seats.
Meanwhile, on the film front, Vijay is preparing for the release of Jana Nayagan. The film recently made headlines after portions of it were reportedly leaked online. It has also been awaiting release for a long time and is yet to receive clearance from the censor board.
