Veteran character actor James Handy, whose career spanned nearly five decades across film and television, has died at the age of 81 following a fatal stabbing in Los Angeles. According to reports, authorities responded to a residence in Tarzana on the morning of June 4 after receiving a disturbing call from a man who allegedly claimed responsibility for the attack. When officers arrived at the scene, Handy was found with multiple stab wounds and was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Police identified the suspect as Michael Gledhill, the son of Handy’s girlfriend. The 44-year-old was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody. Investigators have not yet disclosed what may have led to the incident.
