Actors Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda once again became the center of attention after a heartwarming moment from a recent public event went viral on social media. The popular couple, who got married earlier this year, were seen together in Telangana as they launched a scholarship initiative aimed at supporting talented students. While the event focused on education and helping young achievers, it was a sweet interaction between the two stars that caught everyone’s eye and quickly won over fans online.
On Sunday, Vijay and Rashmika visited Thummanpet village in Telangana’s Achampet Mandal to meet students and officially launch their scholarship program. During the event, a candid video surfaced on Instagram showing Rashmika helping Vijay amid the busy crowd and hectic atmosphere. In the clip, she was seen wiping sweat from his forehead with a tissue and helping him adjust his moustache before giving him a reassuring nod. The simple yet caring gesture left fans smiling and sparked a wave of reactions on social media, with many praising the couple’s bond and affection for each other.
Vijay later shared pictures from the visit on social media. The photos featured Rashmika alongside Vijay and his parents, giving fans a glimpse into their family life. Sharing the pictures, Vijay expressed his happiness about completing the first year of the scholarship initiative. He revealed that the program had reached 45 schools and benefited 180 students. He also promised to return in 2027 and work towards expanding the initiative to help even more young people.
Speaking at the event, Vijay said that the scholarship amount may be small, but the intention behind it is important. He explained that he wants to stay connected with the lives of students and hopes to expand the initiative across Telangana in the future. According to him, the program is his dream project and a way to celebrate the hard work, discipline and dedication shown by students.
Before reaching the village, Vijay also shared the list of selected students on social media. He revealed that the idea for the scholarship program began earlier this year when he and Rashmika decided to support deserving students from the Achampet region. He said the initiative was created to recognize children who have made their parents proud through their academic achievements.
On the professional front, fans will soon get to see Vijay and Rashmika together on the big screen once again in Ranabaali. The film marks their third collaboration after the successful movies Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the much awaited film is scheduled to release in theatres on September 11 and has already generated excitement among fans.
