Sterling Point Trailer Reveals A Family Secret That Changes Annie’s Life Forever

Prime Video has released the first trailer of Sterling Point, a coming of age drama about family secrets, friendship and self discovery, premiering on Aug. 5.

Prime Video has released the first trailer for its upcoming coming of age drama Sterling Point. Created by acclaimed writer, director and executive producer Megan Park, the series follows a young woman’s emotional journey after an unexpected inheritance changes her life. The trailer offers a glimpse into themes of family, friendship, romance and self discovery, while also hinting at long buried secrets that slowly begin to unfold.

The story follows Annie, played by Ella Rubin, who is raised in New York City alongside her twin brother, played by Keen Ruffalo, and their adoptive father, portrayed by Jay Duplass. Their lives take an unexpected turn after the death of Annie’s grandfather, who leaves behind his island and cottage in Canada. As Annie arrives at the property, she meets Ramona, played by Amélie Hoeferle. Ramona appears to have a connection to Annie’s family, leading Annie to tell her brother that “someone that looks like mom” is claiming the house belonged to her grandfather.

The trailer shows Annie and Ramona growing closer as they spend time together and begin uncovering the truth about Annie’s family history. At one point, Ramona offers Annie a simple piece of advice, saying, “It’s OK to be messy sometimes. It’s important.” As the story moves forward, the characters experience new friendships, romance and emotional challenges while trying to understand the past.

According to the official synopsis, “Raised in New York City with her twin brother and loving adoptive father (Jay Duplass), Annie’s life takes a turn when she inherits her mysterious grandfather’s island in Canada. There, she finds new friends, budding romances and untold family secrets.”

The series also features Jacob Whiteduck Lavoie, Daniel Quinn Toye, Bo Bragason, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Nikko Angelo Hinayo, Mabel Strachan, Elle Maija Tailfeathers and Missi Pyle in important roles. Together, the cast brings to life an emotional story that explores identity, belonging and the impact of family history.

Sterling Point will have 8 episodes in its first season and is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on Aug. 5. With its mix of mystery, relationships and personal growth, the series focuses on how unexpected discoveries can change a person’s understanding of family and themselves.
