Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s Alpha continued its theatrical run with a slower pace on its second Monday. The spy action film collected an estimated ₹0.65 crore nett, recording a 50 per cent drop from its second Friday collection. With this, the film’s total collection has reached ₹51.50 crore nett at the Indian box office.
The film has earned ₹6.35 crore nett in the first 4 days of its second week. If the current trend continues, Alpha is expected to finish the week with collections between ₹8 crore and ₹9 crore, taking its total close to the ₹55 crore mark.
Here is the film’s box office performance so far:
Week 1: ₹45.25 crore
Second Friday: ₹1.30 crore
Second Saturday: ₹2.10 crore
Second Sunday: ₹2.20 crore
Second Monday: ₹0.65 crore (estimated)
Total: ₹51.50 crore nett
Based on its current box office trend, the film is expected to complete its theatrical run with collections in the range of ₹60 crore to ₹65 crore nett. While these numbers are higher than the lifetime collections of several recent female led films, they may not be enough considering the film’s reported production cost.
Female led action films have traditionally faced challenges at the Indian box office, with only a few managing to attract large audiences. Alpha also arrived at a time when recent films from the YRF Spy Universe had received a mixed response at the box office. These factors made the film’s theatrical journey more challenging.
Despite this, the film has managed to cross the ₹50 crore mark and continues to add to its overall collection. Its performance over the remaining weekdays will determine how close it gets to the expected ₹60 crore to ₹65 crore nett range.
Alpha is directed by Shiv Rawail and stars Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in the lead roles. The film is part of the YRF Spy Universe and follows the action packed style associated with the franchise. As it enters the later stages of its theatrical run, all eyes will be on whether it can maintain steady collections before completing its run in cinemas.
