The trailer of Mirzapur The Movie has been released by the makers on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. The upcoming action thriller brings back several familiar faces from the popular Mirzapur series, including Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Divyenndu. Directed by Gurmmeet Singh, the film takes viewers back into the world of Mirzapur, where power, violence and revenge continue to drive the story.
The trailer begins with Kaleen Bhaiya, played by Pankaj Tripathi, talking about the importance of power in Mirzapur. He says that the throne of Mirzapur cannot be obtained through politics or family background but through muscle power. The trailer then quickly moves through several action packed scenes, showing fights, violence and clashes between different characters.
One of the biggest highlights is the return of Munna Bhaiya, played by Divyenndu. The film is set during the timeline of Season 1 of the series, bringing Munna back into the story. He is seen calling himself the prince of Mirzapur and remains involved in a conflict with Guddu, played by Ali Fazal.
The film also introduces Jitendra Kumar as Guddu’s younger brother. The character was previously played by Vikrant Massey in the series. Ravi Kishan also appears in a new role as a dangerous gangster who wants to claim the throne of Mirzapur for himself.
The trailer continues the dark and violent style associated with the Mirzapur franchise. It includes intense fights, bloodshed and moments of dark humour. One sequence also shows a character losing his hand during a fight, giving an indication of the level of violence featured in the film.
Apart from the main cast, the movie features Ravi Kishan, Abhishek Banerjee, Rasika Dugal, Mohitt Maalik, Sheeba Chadha, Rajesh Tailang, Pramod Pathak, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Harshita Shekhar Gaur, Shweta Tripathi, Sonal S. Chauhan, Anangsha Biswas, Shaji Chaudhary, Satendra Soni, Kulbhushan Kharbanda and Sushant Singh in important roles.
Mirzapur The Movie has been written by Puneet Krishna and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under Excel Entertainment. Kassim Jagmagia and Vishal Ramchandani are the co producers.
The film will be released in theatres in Hindi and Telugu on September 4. With the return of several popular characters, the movie connects directly with the world established by the original series while taking the story to the big screen.
